2016.7.2 AsiaTEFL(ロシア)で口頭発表しました!

An Improvement and Practice of Bilingual Sentence Flashcard Maker" というタイトルで Paper Presentation を行いました。

An Improvement and Practice of Bilingual Sentence Flashcard Maker

The purpose of this presentation is to introduce a recent improvement and practice of Bilingual Sentence Flashcard Maker, free software developed by one of the authors himself. This software converts data prepared in a spreadsheet-like format beforehand into slides, and enables teachers to show and hide 1) the translated sentence, 2) the original sentence, 3) the sequence of words in the original sentence one by one, and so on, easily and flexibly, in order to activate language-learning classrooms. This software aims at ways which are never able to accomplish with chalk and blackboard, ordinary tools for teaching. It only needs the minimum equipment, a PC/Mac and a projector. Internet connection is not necessary. Reading sentences aloud together is one of the basic methods to learn a foreign language. A "Repeat after me" method does not always work in classrooms. Bilingual Sentence Flashcard Maker will help teachers in these situations. In this talk, the presenters will demonstrate how to use this software and how to activate students in the classroom. All educational tools including this software are available with free of charge at the author's website, http://www.oit.ac.jp/ip/~kamiya/ . (This project is supported by JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number 24520675.)
